Spilled Tea

Its such a pleasant evening, I'm sitting in the balcony of my house and enjoying the hot tea which my mother just gave it to me. I could smell the intriguing cardamom and ginger scent in the tea  and felt who would ask for a heaven after having this tea. After the first sip I felt there is no such thing called heaven. In a fraction of second an idea flashed in my mind. I should learn this tea preparation secret from my mother and should set up a chai shop.

And to make the matters even more beautiful, i could see the black cloud formation up in the sky. It looked like all the clouds crawling slowly to gather directly above my head, so that they too can get the scent of the tea. I was now feeling like a master or to be more precise, a 'Tea GOD'. Funny isn't?.
And then a drop descended to earth, it followed the scent of cardamom and dropped exactly in my glass and attained mocksha. PETRICHOR!!. Woah! both my favorite scents are now on a one to one battle. And the rain drops now getting further strength, started to pour. To all my senses, its a great treat indeed.

And I could now see my mother on heels shouting something to me. She pulled me back into the real world. Its raining now and the bricks which we burnt today is still in open ground for further solidification. We both ran towards the brick kiln and it looked like the rain is also in race with us. When we reached there, I could see half of my village people are already there placing the bricks inside the tent and we joined them. Now I became a 'Brick GOD' and I saved all my bricks.

And by that time we are done, pouring also got reduced and we reached home. All I could see there was rain water trying to enter our hut carrying my my spilled tea. Looks like many rain drop attained mocksha today!. Being a tea god, I could not even put a smile for this awkward thought, instead i felt lot of hatred towards the rain. Sometime back what seemed to be eternal and heaven, felt like hell now. How can I forgive that rain, when it spoilt my tea, which I just get once in a week on the wage day.

Remember Rain, I will never ever forgive you in my lifetime, how many times you cry and apologize. Its going to be the 'Spilled Tea' always!!!

PS:
PETRICHOR:Its a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather aka scent of rain.

TRING TRING....

So, it’s time for next post.

And yes, it’s about the thing which fascinated me a lot. It just happened some time back, while I was traveling in train. It’s just only 3hr time journey, which left me with a big question. Still I am searching the answer.  Wanna join with me, in this expedition?? ;)

My only concern, while traveling in train, is just to get a window seat. Fortunately this time I succeeded. Opened my book and I was diving into that world. At that very moment, a small family came to the same seat. Father, mother and a small boy of around 8 to 10 years. I was bit ashamed, as I am holding the window seat and not letting a small child to explore the world.

But to my amazement, he sat quiet and took out a smart phone (oh, here comes the devil!!) and started to play something (not sure about the game, I need an update!). I peeked into the screen (Yes I know, it’s very bad to intrigue others privacy). He is playing some games, where he is first attacking everyone around him, next game he is running for a life (what a contradiction!). He then took out car, went to the racing field and then some candy crush (Ah, I knew this one!!). So many world he had traveled in that meager amount of time.

I started to get bored, same with his mom I guess. She started to complain, that the phone will be out of charge. He just looked up his father and said, “Papa, does mom doesn’t know about power banks”. His mom was now shocked and gave me a smile, which conveyed so many things. I turned to the other window side as I could no more concentrate on my book.

As the train was moving forward, my memories started to move backwards. And now I moved 10 to 12 years back. I guess I was traveling in a time machine. Our family used to go to my grandparents’ house during weekends. It’s the time, where my grandpa bought a new “land-line” phone. I have seen it at some places. But this is the first time I am picking those receiver up, with my own hands and placing it in my ears. WOW! That excitement how will I describe, surely I am out of words. That TRING TRING sound was repeating in my mind for the next one week.

My sister and I were so mush obsessed with that sound to the extent that we started to hear those TRING TRING sounds, event though, there is no call(hallucination :P). After the land-line phone came to my grandpa’s house, we were more excited to go there. And this particular time, we all are  having our lunch, and our dearest friend started to sound, “TRING….”. We don’t know what force that drove both of us, we both got up and at the next moment we are in our heels. As I am poor runner, my sister succeeded, and took the receiver. We could not even catch our breath, but somehow she managed to say a broken ‘h-e-llll-ooo’.

And as usual, the person at other end called up for my grandpa. (By the way who is going to call us there :P). She handed over the receiver, and we both returned to the dining area. And it took a long time for our breath to come to a normal state. Later, we both got a nice series of scolding from my mother, for not behaving properly at lunch time. But as usual we dint care much.

Disturbed by some outer noise, I came to the present world. The train has reached the destination, my time machine has landed me in the present. And that small boy, oh, he is still running for a life.

Got down from the train, with a big question on my mind, “Did my generation missed those things or is this generation is missing something???” Yet searching an answer for it.

PS: I’m not that old :P :P

THE OBSERVANT

Do you know, who is the best observant in the world?   “ME.”

Sorry, if I'm more adamant about this.

So, let me tell you my story, and I bet, you will surely accept my answer. Before giving all my traditional name details, I want to share my whereabouts first. I am a resident of the Beautiful Bangalore city. And in detail, I am a resident of the always busy Indira Nagar area. The next detail, I am going to give you, is my road address. I live on the banks of CMH Road. If you are commuting in this area, you could say, that I am lying, as you could see only shops and shops and nothing else.
But I am cent percent true. I live “on the CMH Road”. You get my point? With the Metro over the bridge as my roof and the whole CMH road as my floor, I am leading a peaceful (?) life. The people who have money in their hands, call me as ‘BEGGAR’. But the world really doesn’t know who the beggar is. Let us put these researches aside. I will justify my answer to the question in the first line.
My home has lots and lots of shops ranging from branded, wholesale, retail to platform shops. As I am more than 70 now, I could not cover a vast area with my powerless eyes and weak legs. So my home confines of a particular area of appropriately 1 to 2kms.
Point 1: I was very cautious about choosing my 1km area. I took care that my area contains lots of eateries. And those too, ranging from world famous fast food shops to one man army of pani Puri entrepreneurs. [All you technically speaking selection approaches could never stand in front of my selection approach].
Point 2: My colleagues [If you have heard this word, only from those who are working in big buildings you were wrong, even I have colleagues!!], has the philosophy of working before the temples, mosques and churches. But I am different. I have my own principles. They feel once the mind is in a peaceful state, people generally tend to help others. But my ideology is, only when the stomach is happy, the mind starts to think. Is my observation acceptable?
Point 3: You people long for the weekend’s right, even I do. There is surely a lot of difference between the first 5 days and last 2 days. My last 2 days salary will be exceeding the first 5 days [I am more open kind of person, as I am telling you all my details ;)]. All the new offers, like buy one get one free on Wednesdays, triple bonanza on Thursdays, never helped me as like Sundays. But to some extent it works, I hope.
Point 4. All the affectionate terms like ‘sister, brother, mother’ were exported long back. And new terms like ‘sirs and madams’ were imported. My clients too, like calling this way. So I am just adapting myself to your world, isn’t?
Point 5: Selecting such an area where my business can go without so much of ups and downs, is really a Herculean task right.
Now I think you can accept the fact that “I’m the best observant” and I have justified in all the possible ways I could. If you happen to pass by my home, I’m sure you’ll search my face among hundreds of people. I would be happy if I could make a small impression in your hearts among them.

THE TWO MOST WANTED PERSONALITIES !!

Average worldwide annual paper consumption is 48Kg per person it seems. Shocking!! And in earlier days, many people before making their masterpiece in writing, would have wasted lots and lots of paper. It is still acceptable, since for their final draft, the world could wait and those papers had the strength to withstand, centuries after centuries.  And now a days we have to thank Christoper Sholes (guessing why??), as he is the inventor of modern typewriting keyboard. (And I found out this, after repeated search in google !! . So a special thanks to google!!) . And now most of the papers (and hence trees) are just saved by these two people. (?!)
“Things did can never be undone”. This is some famous quote said by some wise men! “People often don’t have a second chance to correct their mistakes”. This one is of another kind.  But these quotes fails when we come to these people. They often give us a second chance. Wait Noooo!! They could give us ‘N’ number of chances. (Sorry I could not help it, because of my background!!).
And these two people are so close to each other, like they could often sit hand in hand, in very next rows (at least in my case). I will often get confused, whom should I call for my rescue. (Very weird problem right??). So I came to some brilliant conclusion. When I make some small mistakes, I could call one person as he is so big at heart (and even in size :-p) and the other one when I make some big mistakes.
Getting angry?? Endure with me. Yet you don’t have a choice too :P Thinking these two people must be really existing in your life??. They are of course in your life helping in each and every way they could.
Enough of holding suspense. While revealing these persons identity, I wish to address them with utmost respect, despite of how close we three are. And I guess you will also start seeing them with some dignity, the next time you call them for rescue.
Curtains up!! The two helpful, respectful, most wanted peoples are “Mr. Backspace” and “Mr. Delete”. I could hear your exasperations ;-). But you could never deny the fact, since these two persons are always available to our need, most of us actually forgot them. Isn’t?? So I dedicate this blog to those two famous persons. Now read from the starting to get the complete context.
My next blog topics would be ctrl+c and ctrl+v :P :P.. ha ha :D ..Stay tuned!!
